La famille Amerbach de Bâle, fut célèbre à la fin du XVème siècle pour son activité dans l’art naissant de l’imprimerie. Johann Amerbach, réputé pour ne reculer devant aucune dépense pour sa discipline, fut le premier imprimeur de Bâle à utiliser la typographie romane à la place des anciennes lettres gothiques.

Cette lettre à ceci d’intéressante qu’elle est rédigée par Barbara Amerbach, la femme de Johann. Manuscrit, ce texte fait preuve d’une régularité exemplaire dans la graphie des lettres, les espacements et la qualité de l’encre.

The École normale supérieure (Paris), the LabEx TransferS, and Artl@s (a digital humanities project sponsored by the Agence Nationale pour la Recherche) are pleased to announce a two-year postdoctoral position in the field of Spatial Art History.
